Samhain (pronounced sah-wen) is celebrated as the Celtic New Year by Wiccans, Druids, Pagans and many others around the globe. It begins the evening of October 31st, All Hallow's Eve, when the veil is thinnest between worlds and extends until the new moon of November 18th this year.
Samhain is a time of honoring death and communing with those that have transitioned from their Earthly presence. In this instance, death may be regarded as the loss of a life or the loss of parts of ourselves, relationships, plans, resources, etc.
"During this liminal portal, we are invited to connect with the unseen realms of our own unconscious to feel the emotions, beliefs, and feelings that lie in the deep, watery realms of our soul - those that we tend to discard" (via @goddess_rising).
Allow yourself to mourn what never was or what can no longer be.

Full moon in Aries is upon us amidst a whirlwind of chaos and tragedy that has befallen our Vegas community.
This past Sunday evening terror reigned down at an outdoor concert on the Las Vegas strip resulting in the largest &deadliest gun attack in modern U.S. history.
My heart and deepest condolences go out to everyone affected by the incident.
There is no doubt that for many, this time is a call to action... but I want to gently remind everyone that now is also a time to go within and to examine how we internalize, process and / or project our own hurt and anger. According to the late Carl Jung, "Shadow Work is the path of the heart warrior".
As I mentioned in an earlier post, full moons are a time of deep reflection for me- every month at this time, I sit in solitude and consult tarot as my oracle for the questions that arise. I rely on the Mystic Mamma astral insights to guide...
In light of recent events (i.e. the natural disasters rampant throughout our planet right now, that are occurring at historically unprecedented magnitude) and in alignment with my intention to use this blog as a forum to inspire others to become agents of change, I want to share with you all some avenues for getting involved in activism &activating your role as the stewards of this planet..
It is no secret that industrialization is wreaking havoc on nature. Climate change is real.
&Though we certainly cannot stop a natural disaster from occurring, there are many ways we CAN work together to prevent the degradation of our planet.
As I shared in my previous post, I spent my undergraduate studying cultures and the way in which they interact with and effect their environments and subsequently their ecosystems. Part of my work as an Anthropologist also took me to South America, whe...
Hello friends, so I just dove right into it with my first post and seeing as this blog may serve as my introduction to some, I feel the need to backtrack a bit...
Allow me to formally introduce myself,
I am an acrobatic, tarot reading, fire wielding dancer &yogi- originally from Detroit but currently working as a performance artist in Las Vegas.
I identify as an Indigo Child and consider myself an Occultist. I have been told that I have Wiccan lineage, which is something I also strongly resonate with.
I believe that a witch is a woman fully in her power. I've felt deeply connected to my intuitive self and nature since as far back as I remember coming into being.
I chose the name "Indigo" because I relate a lot to the color and the metaphysical symbolism. I believe in my own magic. And I do believe I'm gifted. We're all gifted. It's just a matter of learning to tune in. ..And "Wild" because, wel...
I've created this platform to share with you all the way in which I experience and navigate this life as an ACROBAT - ACTIVIST - WOMAN - WITCH - DESIGNER - ENTERTAINER - VISIONARY & VEGAN. My intention is to share uplifting &inspiring pieces of my own world vis-à-vis rituals and ceremonies that I facilitate and take part in, yummy plant based recipes, ways in which I train as a yogi and aerialist, new projects and crafts I'm working on &different avenues to get involved with protecting our planet and reducing our carbon footprints. I believe in living in harmony with nature to the best of my ability while currently residing in the urban jungle.. as well as the inherent power of sacred geometry, indigenous wisdom &plant medicine.. so there will be glimmers of that throughout this blog too!
